Refund Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026

We would rather you were happy than locked in. Here is exactly when you can get your money back, and how to ask.

1. The short version

  • Changed your mind within 14 days of your first payment? Email us and we’ll refund it in full.
  • Charged for a renewal you did not want? Tell us within 14 days and we’ll refund it, as long as you haven’t used the new term.
  • Cancelling only stops future payments — your access runs to the end of the term you already paid for.

2. Your 14-day cancellation right

As a consumer buying online you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of buying, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because TotFuel gives you access straight away, that period starts on the day of your payment.

Strictly, once we start supplying the service at your request we may charge for the part you have used. In practice we don’t: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment, we refund the whole amount. You do not have to give a reason.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date — see section 5.

If a renewal catches you out, contact us within 14 days of the charge. Provided you have not made significant use of the new term, we will refund it in full and close the subscription. After that window, or where the new term has been used, we do not refund part-used terms — but we will cancel the subscription so nothing renews again, and your access continues until the term ends.

4. When we may not refund

  • Requests made after the 14-day window for a term you have been using.
  • Accounts closed or suspended for breaching our Terms of Use — for example sharing a login or scraping our content.
  • Repeated purchase-and-refund cycles on the same account.
  • Payments made to someone who is not us. We only ever take payment through Stripe, at the checkout on this website. If you get a payment request from anywhere else, don’t pay it — tell us.

None of this limits your legal rights. If the service is faulty, not as described, or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, whatever this policy says.

5. How to cancel your subscription

Two ways, both fine:

  • From your account — log in, open your dashboard and use Manage billing, then cancel the subscription. This is immediate and stops all future charges.
  • Email us at from the address on your account, and we will cancel it for you.

Either way, your paid access stays open until the end of the current term. You keep your feeding records; they are only deleted if you delete them or close your account.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email from the email address on your account, and include:

  • the plan you bought;
  • the date and amount of the payment;
  • the receipt or transaction reference from your confirmation email, if you have it.

We aim to reply within two working days and to approve or explain within five. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, and normally reach you within 5–10 working days once we have sent them — the exact timing is down to Stripe and your bank.

7. Paying without an account

You can pay at the checkout without registering first — we create your account from the email address you give Stripe. The same 14-day rule applies from the day of that payment, and you cancel it the same way as everyone else.

8. Problems and complaints

If something has gone wrong — a duplicate charge, an amount you don’t recognise, access that never unlocked — email and we will sort it out. Please come to us before raising a chargeback; it is faster, and a chargeback can suspend the account while it is being investigated.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, but the version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you paid. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
